Whiskey on the Tracks are delighted to join the Railway Preservation Society of Ireland, for what will be our final journey in 2023, as we make our way down to the seaside town of Bray, Co. Wicklow, for ‘A Taste of Wicklow’.

Joining us on board for this journey, will be Derek King of Experience Irish Whiskey. We’re delighted to have someone with Derek’s knowledge with us for the day, and his presence will offer our passengers a chance to discuss Irish whiskey in great detail.

Take your seat, sit back, relax and enjoy the sights and sounds along our journey to Bray.

Our journey today brings us from Dublin Connolly to Bray, departing at 10:40am and arriving into Bray at approximately 11:33am.

Upon arrival, passengers will have time to explore the town, before making their way to The Harbour Bar, for a ‘Taste of Wicklow’.

At 13:00, our passengers will take their seats in the Harbour Bar, where they will receive a Wicklow welcome of

Wicklow Wolf Elevation Pale Ale craft beer, which they’ll be able to enjoy with bite size trios, created from St. Kevin Brie from Wicklow Farmhouse Cheese, Dunnes of Wicklow black pudding with local apple sauce, served on crostini.

Having enjoyed their welcome drink and local food pairing, our passengers will be joined by Eoin Cooney of Glendalough Distillery for our fabulous tasting of their Irish whiskey, to include,

  • Glendalough Double Barrel
  • Glendalough Pot Still Irish Whiskey
  • Glendalough 7 Year Single Malt Mizunara Cask
  • Glendalough Madeira Cask

At the mid-way point of the above tasting, our passengers will enjoy some finger food platters, which are being put together by the wonderful chefs at The Harbour Bar.

With our event in The Harbour Bar complete, our passengers will have further time to explore the seaside town of Bray before making their way back to the station where we will depart at 16:08, arriving back in Dublin Connolly at approximately 16:48.

As our passengers make their way back to Dublin Connolly, they will bring their day to a close by enjoying a glass of Glendalough Burgundy Cask.

*** Please note that due to the fact that the Railway Preservation Society will be running a train from Bray to Wicklow Town, while we enjoy our time in Bray, we will not be able to dress the carriage in the pullman style, which previous Whiskey on the Tracks passengers have experienced.

*** Please note that dietary requirements will be catered for on the day. If you have specific requests then please contact us on email hello@whiskeyonthetracks.ie or phone +353877878841 to discuss.
